Course Info

Take a journey into synthesis and learn to create sounds from scratch. In this course, you will learn to use software and hardware synthesizers to design basses, leads, and chords as well as take them to next level with FX. Learn how to create your own sounds from scratch as you dive deep into Ableton’s Wavetable synthesizer and TAL’s Juno-60 emulation, the UNO, and master fundamental (and advanced) synthesis.

  • 11 x 2hr classes

  • 3 x 50min private lessons

Course Schedule

Fall Quarter 2019 - Starts Sept 30th / Oct 2

  • Thursdays, 8:30PM - 10:15PM

Topics Covered:

  • frequency and dB

  • oscillators, envelopes, and LFOs

  • making custom bass, lead, and chord patches

  • modulations and automations

  • recreating sounds

  • software and hardware synthesizers

  • audio effects racks

  • extensions and inversions
