- How a film composer fits into the puzzle of film production 
- Timelines for writing music to picture 
Day 2 - Templates And Mindset
- Discuss different kinds of composer templates and how they can help us offline bounce stems and be ready for when inspiration strikes 
- Sample Library talk and what kind of tools you need in your sonic toolkit 
- Pre-mix or not? 
- Talk about the way to prepare a session for writing even before playing a single note 
Day 3 - Writing To Picture
- Getting started 
- Talk about setting up markers, importing video, and starting to write 
- Finding emotional story points and how to enhance them 
- Getting a basic mix and sending off to the client 
Day 4 -Different Approaches to Scoring The Scene
- What to do if your director had different intentions for the music of a scene 
- How to rescore and be flexible with notes (composers serve the film, the film doesn’t serve its music) 
- Being vigilant to instill confidence in your collaborators 
Day 5 - Recap and Critiques
- Send Matthew your best music to picture for a chance of having it critiqued in the class.
