In partnership with There Is A Light (TIAL) Foundation, IO Music Academy is excited to announce a new scholarship opportunity for aspiring music makers valued at $3,500. In celebration of our new collaboration, we’re giving away 10 spots in Los Angeles and 10 in San Francisco.

This scholarship is designed for motivated individuals eager to explore the world of electronic music production and pursue their dreams. Thanks to the generous support of TIAL Foundation, students will receive access to top-tier educational resources, state-of-the-art facilities, and invaluable mentorship from industry professionals.

Scholarship Breakdown

Music Production Education
Based on their current skill level, students are placed in a 6-month music production program valued at $3,500.

One-On-One Mentorship
Students receive monthly one-on-one sessions with IO Music Academy team members.

Students receive unlimited studio time in our state of the art studios filled with vintage gear and modern staples.

Before you apply…
Please read through the following questions before moving on to the application

We are looking for motivated individuals ready to dive deep into music production and the world of electronic music.
While the scholarship isn’t exclusive to anyone, we will prioritize applicants who will benefit most from the opportunity.

You must live in either Los Angeles or San Francisco and be able to attend weekly classes, monthly private lessons, and studio time in-person.
You must have a laptop capable of running Ableton Live.
You must own a pair of wired headphones suitable for music production.

Because IO Music Academy offers a wide variety of courses, we are ready to accept applicants of all experience levels – from complete beginner to seasoned producer.

If you can afford to attend IO Music Academy without a scholarship or have already completed extensive higher level education elsewhere, consider leaving space for other applicants.

Classes will begin the week of January 15th at our Los Angeles campus. San Francisco classes will begin in Spring 2024 at our new location.
